Syria’s Interior Ministry anti-narcotics administration said on Saturday that it had seized 2.2 million Captagon pills during the first 15 days of October.
Its published figures covered operations in Damascus Countryside, Homs, Deir Ezzor, Raqqa and Hasakah. The administration also reported foiling three smuggling attempts at the Nasib and Jdeidet Yabous crossings.
Other seized substances included cannabis, marijuana and crystal methamphetamine, it said. Authorities described some intercepted shipments as arriving from Lebanon and others as intended for Gulf countries.
The cumulative figures followed Friday’s announcement that officers had dismantled a network supplying drugs from Lebanon to Damascus Countryside. The administration said that operation yielded 91,000 Captagon pills and the arrest of three principal suspects.
The figures and accounts of the operations were released by the ministry and reported by Syria TV.
