Displaced families left camps in Idlib and northern Aleppo on Thursday, October 29, for their hometowns, while returning residents said damaged housing and limited resources remained major obstacles, SANA reported.
The Emergency and Disaster Management Ministry said a convoy of 229 families departed northern Idlib for communities in Idlib, Hama, Homs, Damascus countryside and Deir Ezzor.
In a separate departure, 32 families left al-Nour camp near Azaz for five provinces under the Syria Without Camps initiative. Local officials said teams provided healthcare and emergency supplies and coordinated with authorities in destination areas.
Returnees interviewed by SANA appealed for shelter and reconstruction assistance ahead of winter. Some said their homes were destroyed or damaged, leaving them without suitable accommodation.
