Syria recorded 20,795 registrations for driving licenses in October, while an estimated 22,120 new and repeat candidates took tests, the Transport Ministry said Wednesday.
A total of 19,687 candidates passed, giving a reported pass rate of 89%, driving-license administration director Mohammed al-Alloush told SANA.
The ministry also renewed the license of al-Ghazi driving school in Aleppo, bringing the national total of licensed driving schools to 84.
Alloush said planned changes would address training quality and examination procedures, with details to be announced alongside a new traffic law.
