Authorities in Hasakah have prepared lists of about 800 to 900 displaced families for two planned return convoys to rural Ras al-Ain on Tuesday and Wednesday, an official told SANA on Monday.

Mustafa Abdi, a member of the presidential team implementing the Jan. 29 agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces, said the first group was due to leave Nov. 3 and the second Nov. 4.

The arrangements form part of a voluntary-return program, according to SANA. Abdi said work was continuing to facilitate returns for families in shelters in Hasakah and Qamishli and in the Ras al-Ain and al-Tuwayna camps.

He said preparations included securing return areas and clearing mines and remnants of war.

The six previous convoys had brought back 2,881 families by Oct. 20, SANA reported, out of about 12,500 families displaced from the area to cities in Hasakah province.
