Hasakah's water company said repairs at the Alouk water station were complete and announced that pumping would restart at 9 a.m. Saturday toward the al-Himma station, SANA reported.

Company director Farhan al-Oweis said water would then be distributed to Hasakah neighborhoods under the established schedule after storage tanks filled. The announcement does not mean supplies will reach every neighborhood immediately.

Maintenance included installing a 900-millimeter valve between two wells at Alouk and replacing valves at al-Himma to improve supply to Hasakah and surrounding areas.

The work involved the International Committee of the Red Cross, Syrian Arab Red Crescent and UNICEF at Alouk, and Mercy Corps at al-Himma, al-Oweis said.

Pumping had been suspended on Oct. 24 for maintenance at both stations. The report announced the restart schedule but did not confirm delivery to all households.
