A citizen service center in Jasim is providing electronic administrative services for a catchment area of about 60,000 residents in Daraa province, reducing the need to travel elsewhere for documents, SANA reported Monday.
The center began operating on Oct. 20, according to Mohammad Khair Okasha, head of Jasim's telecommunications center.
Available services include certificates confirming that an applicant is not employed in the public sector, property registry extracts, and cancellation or recovery of accounts on the Anjez portal.
Okasha said the center serves Jasim and surrounding towns and villages. Its services could later expand to include criminal-record certificates and some civil-status documents.
Residents interviewed by SANA said obtaining documents locally saved travel time and costs.
