Rain is expected across Syria’s coast and parts of the northwest and northeast from Tuesday evening into Wednesday, with some showers potentially heavy and accompanied by thunder, Syria TV reported, citing the Meteorological Directorate.
Cloud cover is forecast to increase from the coast during the evening before rain spreads to other areas.
Temperatures are expected to remain one to three degrees Celsius above seasonal averages. Forecasters warned of fog at night and early in the morning in central, northern and eastern areas and the desert interior.
Wind gusts could reach 45 kilometers per hour in southern areas. A further low-pressure system is expected to begin affecting the country on Thursday and continue into early next week.
