Syrian and Turkish electricity officials discussed operating arrangements for a rehabilitated power line designed to transfer up to 500 megawatts to Syria, the Syrian Electricity Company said, according to Syria TV.

The company said technical and construction rehabilitation of the 400-kilovolt Aleppo F–Birecik interconnection had been completed.

Representatives of Türkiye's electricity transmission company TEİAŞ and Syrian officials reviewed the next steps, operating procedures and safety requirements during a video meeting on Thursday, October 29.

The proposed supply would use an isolated-grid operating arrangement to serve designated areas. Technical teams will continue coordination before the line enters service. The statement did not announce that electricity transfers had begun or give a start date.
