Syria’s Finance Ministry signed six concessional loan agreements worth more than $403 million with the Saudi Fund for Development during President Ahmad al-Sharaa’s visit to Riyadh on Wednesday, according to SANA.

The package includes $90 million for generating units at the Aleppo Thermal Power Plant, $30 million for 300,000 prepaid water meters, $105 million for 25 Civil Defense centers and $60 million for repairs to as many as 10,000 homes.

A further $100 million is allocated to hospitals and health centers, with more than $18 million for digital government financial services. The ministry described the agreements as the first group of projects in a wider financing program.

These are signed financing agreements. The report does not establish that the projects have been completed or that the full funding has been disbursed.
