Syrian and Emirati officials discussed support for hospitals in Raqqa and Homs and restoration of Damascus's Umayyad Mosque during talks on Thursday, October 29, SANA reported.

Qutaiba Kadish, the Syrian Foreign Ministry's director of international cooperation, met UAE Ambassador Hamad Rashid bin Alwan Al Habsi to review bilateral projects.

The discussions covered equipment for children's and maternity hospitals in Raqqa and rehabilitation of al-Nuaimi Hospital in Homs. They also addressed an initiative against leishmaniasis outbreaks in several provinces.

The officials considered technical workshops involving institutions from both countries to coordinate the work. SANA did not announce completion dates or a new funding amount for the projects.
