Syria’s Emergency and Disaster Management Ministry has warned of rough seas off Latakia and Tartous from Wednesday morning through Thursday evening, Syria TV reported.
The ministry forecast waves of 0.5 to 0.9 meters during Wednesday, rising to between 1 and 1.4 meters at the expected peak from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning.
A further period of rough seas is expected afterward and could continue until Monday, Nov. 9, the ministry said in its Tuesday advisory.
No wave-height forecast for that second period was provided in the announcement.
