Türkiye plans initiatives in 2027 aimed at reviving its suspended free-trade agreement with Syria, Anadolu reported Tuesday, citing the annual presidential program.
The program calls for steps based on market-access policy as part of a wider effort to expand preferential trade arrangements and strengthen access to overseas markets.
The Syria agreement was signed in 2004, entered into force in 2007 and was suspended in 2011, Syria TV reported Wednesday.
The initiative is a policy objective. Neither report announced a final bilateral deal or a date for the agreement to take effect again.
