Syria’s General Establishment for Drinking Water and Sanitation signed a six-month memorandum of understanding with US development organization Creative Associates International to support damaged water pumping stations, SANA reported Tuesday.
The agreement was signed in Damascus by establishment director Taher al-Omar and Creative Associates chief executive Leland Kruvant.
The Energy Ministry said the framework covers spare parts and technical supplies, mechanical and electrical maintenance, emergency repairs and training for technical staff. It also includes work on asset-management systems.
The cooperation is intended to improve water-service reliability across several provinces. The report did not specify the stations, a project budget or a completion schedule for individual repairs.
