Syrian and Uzbek business representatives discussed opening an Uzbek trade house in Aleppo and a Syrian trade house in Uzbekistan during a virtual meeting Tuesday, SANA reported Wednesday.
The Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce said the talks also examined a possible three-country partnership with Kazakhstan and an economic forum in Damascus early next year.
The Syrian side was invited to an international economic forum in Tashkent later this month.
Participants discussed lowering transport costs and studying joint shipping companies. The initiatives were presented as proposals rather than completed projects.
