Syria's television and film industry is seeking between $100 million and $200 million in investment, a sector representative told SANA on Friday.
Ali Onaiz, head of the Film and Television Industry Committee, compared the target with an estimated $25 million to $30 million last year. He said producers were looking to expand family-oriented dramas and attract new investors.
Onaiz called for stronger production standards, investment incentives and more domestic broadcasting outlets to support revenues.
Artists' Syndicate head Mazen al-Natour said financing and distribution would be central to recovery. The figures describe an industry ambition, not investment already secured.
