A US Chamber of Commerce delegation representing approximately 50 companies and more than 80 delegates has arrived in Damascus for investment talks.
Syria TV reported that participants included Chevron, Visa and Mastercard. Meetings with Syrian officials examined market conditions, banking services, taxation and the requirements for potential projects.
Syrian business representatives said the discussions could prepare the way for commercial agreements. They also stressed that attracting sustained investment would require clearer legislation, transparency and a predictable business environment. Many proposals remain under discussion rather than finalized contracts.
