President Ahmad al-Sharaa discussed investment in industry, construction and reconstruction with a delegation of Chinese companies in Damascus on Tuesday, SANA reported.
The meeting at the People’s Palace examined economic cooperation and opportunities to expand partnerships.
The ministers responsible for energy, public works and housing, industry, and internal trade attended, alongside the presidential economic adviser and the Syrian Investment Authority’s director-general.
The talks coincided with the Syrian-Chinese Economic Development Forum in Damascus. SANA’s account, published early Wednesday, did not announce a signed investment contract.
