Syrian and Belgian officials discussed proposed recovery projects during talks in Brussels, SANA reported Wednesday.

Qutaiba Kadish, director of international cooperation at Syria’s Foreign Ministry, met Jean Van Wetter, head of Belgium’s development agency Enabel. The proposals covered ports and customs, healthcare, transitional justice, digital services and public administration.

Syria’s International Cooperation Department will assess how the proposals fit national recovery priorities before further talks on financing and implementation with the relevant authorities. The report did not announce a signed funding agreement.
