Syrian Foreign Ministry adviser Jihad Makdissi met Britain's special envoy to Syria, Barry Peach, to discuss bilateral relations and opportunities for wider cooperation, SANA reported Friday.
Saad Baroud, director of the ministry's American Affairs Department, also attended the meeting.
The talks covered regional and international issues of mutual interest. The report said both sides emphasized continued consultation and exchanges of views to strengthen understanding and cooperation.
No new agreement or specific policy measure was announced in the account.
